Yellow Belly

The Yellow Belly (YBs) or Het Ivory is the co-dominant form of the Ivory. It received its name due the high amount of yellow pigment that appears on the sides not on the belly. Higher end YB's will have more yellowing all over the body and will be undeniable as to their genetics. When bred to a normal you should average 50% of the offspring being more YB's. This is one morph that can be very difficult to tell if you have a true YB or not. They come in such a wide array of examples of this morph that it can be very confusing. Our founding stock came from Ben Siegels proven line of Orangebelly YBs. His Ivorys develop a very distinctive silver glaze to them as they mature or produce a very neon colored Ivory.
