Unlike the traditional albino not all of the melanin is removed, thus leaving a cream colored animal with yellow scales that exhibits an almost purple hue.
Caramel Albinos display a wide spectrum of oranges, yellow body tones, have red eyes, and a lavender undertone that runs throughout the pattern. As Caramels mature, the lavender tones become more vibrant and impressive. There have been several bloodlines imported and proven out from wild caught animals. It should be important to note that not all lines are compatible.
We chose our lines by researching the parent lineages and choosing from bloodlines that consistantly produce high purple and lavender undertones as they mature. Some of the other Caramel lines start out very impressive at birth. But as they mature they lose the vibrant colors and became somewhat unimpressive and orange to brown in over all color.
